HOODZ Is Equipping Service-Based Franchises For Success
For some, the commercial kitchen cleaning business is an opportunity to pivot career paths or pursue an independent business. For me, it’s been a lifelong interest, as my father started our family-owned kitchen exhaust cleaning business in 1972. I took over the company for a few years before becoming a part of BELFOR Franchise Group (BFG) and officially launching the first HOODZ franchise.
Over the years, I’ve learned a lot about what sets HOODZ apart – and while top-of-the-line equipment is vital to our work and high-quality customer service is paramount, another top priority is equipping our service-based franchisees with the tools and training they need to succeed.
The ten-day training that HOODZ holds every few months for new franchisees is incredibly unique and important for franchise development. This intensive and hands-on training is offered to both new or existing franchisees and their technicians at our headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It also gives cleaning franchise owners the opportunity to practice live situations while receiving personalized support and instructed use of specialized equipment from our experts.
Additionally, HOODZ’ learning management system – an online and computer-based system where technicians can login from their phones and watch different training and safety videos to receive their certifications – has been immensely helpful in helping both new and veteran franchisees thrive. As we continue to grow, this has been great for new technicians because they can become certified without traveling to our home office.
Whether a franchisee is an industry veteran or new to the world of cleaning franchises, these tools and training methods give those pursuing service-based franchise opportunities the chance to connect with and learn from colleagues across the country while ensuring best industry practices. I thoroughly enjoy helping our new owners and those interested in starting their own business learn and grow within HOODZ, the same way that my father did for me.
